“There are only two kinds of madness one should guard against. One is the belief that we can do everything. The other is the belief we can do nothing.”

~Andre Brink, A Dry White Season

That’s me.

Hello! I’m Casey. I’m a student, a writer, and a journalist. Reporting on the world as I see it is my way of staving off the madness.

I was first introduced to journalism two years ago, when I became the inaugural editor-in-chief of my high school’s newspaper, The Titan Spectator. Soon after, I discovered that journalism is my passion. Someday, I hope to work for a major publication like The New York Times or The New Yorker, but for now I’m confined to the student newsroom.

Today Casey Says is part blog, part portfolio. The blog tab is reserved for my musings on life and journalism; the portfolio tab features a sampling of the articles I’ve published.

Happy reading!
